SMC Conference & Function Centre

The 2020 Transport of Tomorrow Symposium is being held in Sydney, over two days, March 24 and 25.

The venue for this year’s event is the SMC Conference & Function Centre, one of Sydney’s more well-known examples the of the 1970s style of architecture known as brutalism.

The base of the building was opened in 1975, while its accompanying 24-level tower, although designed at the same time, wasn’t built until 2005. Initially the base of the building was a curved concrete wall, the rather more friendly walls of glass were added while the tower was constructed.

ADDRESS: 66 Goulburn Street, Sydney NSW

WHEN: 24 & 25 March 2020
